Kids Definition of calling
: a profession especially that a person feels strongly about Teaching was his true calling.
How do you find your true calling in life?
- Pay Attention To What Interests You. A calling is a passion and a purpose combined. You can’t have a calling for something you’re not passionate about. So pay attention to the things that make you feel alive. For me, it’s writing.
- Look Into The Past. Look at all the things that changed you in your life. When were you the best version of yourself? When did you most feel comfortable in your own skin? What is it that you were doing? For me, it was teaching, before I became a writer, but i t was also poetry. My peoms weren’t always as good as they are now, and I hope in the future I only get better. Even if you find your calling, it doesn’t just happen. You need years of practice and improvement and finding out what works and what doesn’t.
- Don’t Worry Too Much About The Future. Guilty. I worry. I want to be a best selling author, when I’ve never even written a novel, or a decent self help book or parenting book like the ones I read. But I’ll get there one day. I just need to keep writing, keep improving, keep working on myself. Don’t worry if you haven’t found your calling yet. You will find it, and it will make you happy 😊
- Change Your Routine. Too much routine kills creativity, and a calling usually involves creativity. Your calling could be teaching, or parenting, or opening a restoraunt, but because it’s your calling, you add your own spice that makes you unique in what you do. So switch up your routine every once in a while to spark your creativity, but not too much as to cause instability.
- Try New Things. Stepping out of your comfort zone is crucial to finding your calling. If you never take risks or try new things, you won’t know what sets your heart on fire. If I hadn’t tried my hand at blogging and worked at it, I would have never been a blogger. If I hadn’t went on a limb and published my 1st book, I wouldn’t have 7 published books on Amazon!
