February goals assessment

It’s been a long month. Despite my health setback and my mood instability, I have accomplished a lot, and I’m grateful for that.

Even though I felt like I didn’t read as much as I wanted to (that’s a bookworm if you’ve ever seen one), reading was my most consistent habit. I read every single day this month from blogs and almost every day from books. I’m currently reading The Dance of Anger and today I started The Umbrella Man by Roald Dahl. I also read about 5 romantic novels but I don’t add them to my Goodreads list because I consider them trash reading, as in they don’t offer any personal development or improve my writing skills. They just indulge my fantasies of a different life where the man eventually opens up to the women and they deepen their emotional bond.
I wasn’t exercising much at 1st, but I got better quickly. I was reading Quran half the time, but not nearly enough. I need to work on brushing my teeth and meditating more often.
The only way I can keep track of housework is via a physical calendar. I hadn’t printed a 2022 calendar yet in January and I slacked on housework because I couldn’t remember when I cleaned what, despite writing them down on my daily to-do lists.
As for my goals, I did everything I planned to do, maybe not on the allocated days but whenever I had the time and energy, except for sending proposals on Upwork. I don’t know why I keep resisting it. I’m hoping my business will take off and people will buy my products. Speaking of which, I spent all morning updating prices because Printful changed the prices of the products and increased shipment prices worldwide. So now on my storenvy and gumroad shops, shipment is free for the US, Canada, and Australia, but it’s 5 to 7$ per product, depending on what you order, for other countries.

I’m also putting one of my products on sale until March 8th, so you can buy your mom or wife or mom friend or daughter a mothers day gift. With the price I put, I won’t get any profit at all. If only you knew how much they make me pay. Printful charges me the price of the blank product, the price of embroidery if there is embroidery, the price of the shipment, tax, a handling fee, and the fee that the storefront I’m using takes from me. I had 1 sale so far (the apron that I put on sale was custom made for a friend) and I lost 6$ instead of gaining profit because I didn’t know I would be charged shipment and tax and handling fee.

I don’t know what March will bring, but I hope it brings better days. This month may have been hard, but it has also been amazing!

My son turned 7!

My blog got a lot of traffic!

I read a lot!

I created many amazing designs for my stores!

I exercised, did yoga, and meditated!

I finished a course in creativity and a course in Google trends.

How was your February?

What are your goals for March?
