How was your day? Check out this new self-care app I installed!

Hello and welcome to my blog! I liked the idea of letting the images talk and just commenting on them, so I just wanted to share with you how my Thursday went. If you don’t care, it’s fine. I was just excited to show you the new app I installed and to let you know I’m doing better at spending time with my son and getting along with my husband. I’m actively working on fixing my sleep schedule, but posting this right before midnight isn’t helping my case (I didn’t realise the time). I’m trying not to get hopeless. I’m working on myself, trying to gain balance in the areas of my life that are lacking (which is almost all of them).

I wrote my to-do list (I achieved most of my tasks)
I listened to podcasts as I squeegeed the balcony
I’m almost done reading Habit 4 of The 7 habits of highly effective people (I’m taking notes so I can write a blog post about it).
I applied for a job today (I do that every once in a while) and they asked me to write a blog post about flying cars. This is way out of my comfort zone.
I took my son to the park after we watched Avengers Age of Ultron together.
I practiced yoga (my pain is much less but I’m full of pulled muscles). It did the trick.
I downloaded a new self-care app. It’s awesome! It’s called Finch. You get a pet and the more tasks you do, the more energy it gets to go exploring, and if you know me, you know I’m obsessed with getting virtual points as validation!
Focusing on the good things makes a difference. Problem is, I usually get excited about new apps for 2 weeks and then get bored.
I liked this exercise. Boosting confidence.
I will check if Beepo is done exploring before I sleep.

I did half a module of the new course I’m taking on coursera. They actually recommended I use WordPress!

Then I did a meditation session. This is designed to help me sleep.

  2. I started taking notes while reading books back when I first started doing book reviews on my blog, and I find that doing that helps me to get more out of whatever it is that I’m reading.

    I think I would have a very hard time coming up with a blog post on flying cars and connecting that to graphic design.

    1. Yes, it’s very helpful to take notes. If I ever write that blog post about flying cars, I’ll share it here (they said I retain ownership so I can post it anywhere).
